The Camden International Film Festival (CIFF), is a grass-roots community based organization created in 2004 to sponsor annual documentary film screenings and interaction with filmmakers, panels and other events. The festival exists through community involvement and support and is dedicated to encompassing all that is independent.

Over the past four years hundreds of award-winning documentary features and nearly 60 regional premieres from over 20 countries have been screened in beautiful and unique venues in Camden, Rockport and Rockland, Maine. Screenings are followed by intimate Q&A sessions with directors and industry professionals.  Festivities over the festival weekend also include panels, workshops, photographic exhibits, musical concerts and parties.

The CIFF experience is based around the filmmaker / audience interaction. We pride ourselves on creating a platform for filmmakers to share their work in front of eager audiences in state of the art theatres, while also providing our keen audiences with an unparalleled opportunity to connect with independent filmmakers.

Each year our festival grows, but the CIFF experience remains the same. We highlight the industry’s emerging talent, paying homage to the year’s best documentary films, allowing our audiences the opportunity to experience thought-provoking and insightful documentary cinema that offers a unique or unheard perspective on our world.
